Alan Held rehearsing in Washington, D.C.

Associate Professor Alan Held, Ann and Dennis Ross Faculty of Distinction in Opera, is rehearsing in Washington, D.C., for three complete cycles of Richard Wagner's "Der Ring des Nibelungen," at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Held is recognized as one of the leading singing actors on the operatic scene and has been recognized around the world for his portrayals of the great Wagner and Strauss heroes during his 30-year performing career. Held is singing the lead role of Wotan in the "Ring Cycles," beginning April 30.
