GIS group plans Wednesday meeting

There will be a GIS (Geographical Information System) group open planning meeting about ARCGIS@WSU from 1-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, in 264 RSC. All faculty, staff and students are invited.

Topics will include: (1) free spaces for attending the 2016 ESRI User Conference (UC) from June 27-July 1 in San Diego; (2) working with other faculty and staff members on a MOOC offered by ESRI that runs from May 11-June 21; (3) incorporating spatial analysis of geographic information in your research; (4) topics covered in the anthropology ARCGIS courses for undergraduates and graduates currently taught by David Hughes; and (5) developing and sharing ideas for discipline-specific courses that can be taught as pre-ARCGIS courses or post-ARCGIS courses.
