University faculty awards will be presented during the spring general faculty meeting on Friday, May 6, in the multipurpose room at Hughes Metropolitan Complex, Door N. The university faculty awards recognize excellence in teaching, research and creative activities. There will be a reception at 2:30 p.m. with light refreshments to meet and greet the honorees. The faculty awards ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. Zoe Newton, vice chair, Kansas Board of Regents, will give remarks and assist with the awards presentation. The general faculty meeting will begin immediately following the awards ceremony. All activities will be held at Hughes Metropolitan Complex.
