Sridhar Anandakrishnan from the department of geosciences at Penn State will lecture on polar glaciology and ice streams as a Watkins Visiting Professor Thursday and Friday, Feb. 26 and 27. His research overlaps a number of subdisciplines in geology, including geophysics, sedimentology and climate studies. He will present a general lecture "Ice is hot: What's going on in Antarctica and Greenland?" at 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, in 208 Hubbard Hall, and a scientific lecture "Slip slidin' away: Hydrology of glaciers and related slip" at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, in 101 Geology Building.
