* Candidates for director of human resources will be on campus now to Thursday, April 28. Each candidate will present on an HR topic that they are passionate about. Faculty and staff are welcome to attend these presentations. The third candidate, Erik Seastedt, will present from 10-10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday, April 27) in 142 RSC.
* The next Chemistry Department Colloquium talk will feature a presentation by Franklin Tao from the University of Kansas, at 3:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 27) in 224 McKinley Hall. Tao's talk will be "Surface of Catalyst in Gas Phase and its Correlation with Catalytic Performance."
* Don't miss the University Bookstore Spring Patio Sale (formerly known as Bargain Bonanza) from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 27) on the RSC north patio. You can find some great deals on Shocker gear for every WSU fan in your life.
* The Rie Bloomfield Organ Series with Lynne Davis will feature a free organ pops concert at 5:15 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 27) in Wiedemann Hall.
* Join the College of Education for an ED Talk, "What are You Waiting for? Call to action -- advocating for children," at 5:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 27) in the Marcus Welcome Center. The talk will be presented by Christine Downey-Schmidt, former state senator and Kansas Board of Regents member.
* A Student Loan Repayment Workshop will be held from 6-7 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 27) in 209 Hubbard Hall or 1-2 p.m. Thursday, April 28, in 209 Hubbard Hall. Register in advance to reserve your seat at http://www.wichita.edu/fafsanight and be entered in to our prize drawing.
* WSU alumna Lynessa Rico, founder and president of Bright Consumer Consulting, a Chicago-based consumer behavior and marketing research firm, will present "The Lure of Color," at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 5, in the Sudermann Room, Eugene M. * A survey that will have a direct effect on future dining options at Wichita State is underway, and students, faculty and staff are encouraged to take part. Six Visa gift cards worth a total value of $275 will be given out to randomly selected winners who fill out the survey.
