* Join us for the Gaypril evening keynote presentation, "The Blessing of Growth Sitting Down at the Table with Chick-fil-A." Learn firsthand from Shane Windmeyer as he talks candidly about his friendship with fast-food chain president Dan Cathy of Chick-fil-A and the lessons learned about leadership, respect and civility, at 6 p.m. today (Tuesday, April 26) in 208 Hubbard Hall.
* Candidates for Director of Human Resources (HR) will be on campus now to Thursday, April 28. Each candidate will present on an HR topic, which they are passionate about. Faculty and staff are welcome to attend these presentations. The second candidate, Jerry Winans, will present from 9-9:30 a.m. today (Tuesday, April 26) in 142 RSC.
* The Community Psychology Association (CPsyA) has designated the past two years to research and policy advocacy surrounding sexual assault prevention on WSU's campus. Students, faculty and staff are invited to learn about CPsyA's research and recommendations to prevent future sexual assaults on WSU's campus at a brown bag meeting from noon-1 p.m. today (Tuesday, April 26) in 266 RSC. * The WSU campus is invited to help thank our generous donors, see recent renovations and celebrate the successes made possible by the addition of the Marcus Welcome Center at its 10th anniversary commemoration from 3:30-4:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, April 26) at the center. Remarks will be made at 3:45 p.m., by WSU President John Bardo; Elizabeth King, WSU Foundation president and CEO; and Bobby Gandu, WSU director of admissions. Light refreshments will be served and building tours will be led by Office of Admissions staff.
* You are invited to a program about the Kansas budget, hosted by the Society of Professional Journalists from 6-7 p.m. today (Tuesday, April 26) in 266 RSC. Annie McKay, executive director of the Kansas Center for Economic Growth, will make a presentation, followed by a Q&A session about the Kansas budget.
* Purchase a ticket for $1 for the Missouri State at Wichita State softball game at 5 p.m. today (Tuesday, April 26) at Wilkins Stadium. The Dollar Night special includes $1 hot dogs and $1 drinks. Following the softball game, take your ticket stub to Eck Stadium for free admission to the Kansas State at WSU baseball game at 6:30 p.m.
