ED Talk to feature Christine Downey-Schmidt

Join the College of Education for an ED Talk, "What are You Waiting for? Call to action -- advocating for children," at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, in the Marcus Welcome Center. The talk will be presented by Christine Downey-Schmidt, former state senator and Kansas Board of Regents member. She will talk about the importance of advocating for children, being responsible citizens, how to engage, consequences of inaction and reasons people don't vote. A social networking reception will follow the presentation at 6 p.m.
