* Shelly Wiggam, Kansas State University, will present "Patch-burn grazing promotes pollinator diversity on Flint Hills rangelands," from 4-5 p.m. today (Monday, May 2) in 218 Hubbard Hall. Her talk is part of the spring seminar in Biological Sciences.
* The 15th annual School of Social Work Spring Celebration and All-School Convocation will be held at 9 a.m. today (Monday, May 2) in the RSC, with opening remarks in the Shirley Beggs Ballroom. There will be a mini social services career fair from 9 a.m.-noon on the second floor terrace of the RSC, along with oral presentations by graduating MSW students between 10 a.m.-3:15 p.m. in 261, 262, 264, 265, 266 RSC.
* Take a break from studying and learn about other cultures and countries, including WSU study abroad programs from 1-3:30 p.m. today (Monday, May 2) in 319 RSC.
* An IP (Intellectual Property) Disclosure Form Open Lab will be held from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, in 215 Devlin Hall Innovation Hub. Get help completing an IP disclosure form for your ideas, technology, curriculum, research and more.
* Richard Gustafson, a member of the LIGO Gravity Wave detection equipment at the LIGO Hanford Observatory in Washington state, will make two presentations in the Watkins Visiting Professorship Lecture Series: Physics, on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 3-4. Gustafson will present a public talk, "Gravity, Neutron Stars and Black Holse: The Detection of Gravity Waves with the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory," at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, in 127 Jabara Hall. His scientific talk, "Gravity Wave Detection: The Event of September 14, 2015, and Progress With Advanced LIGO," will be presented at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, in 128 Jabara Hall.
