Reminders, deadlines and events

* Departments and student organizations have come together to offer a wide array of events and services to help students through all the obstacles that finals may bring.

* An IP (Intellectual Property) Disclosure Form Open Lab will be held from 2-4 p.m. today (Tuesday, May 3) in 215 Devlin Hall Innovation Hub. Get help completing an IP disclosure form for your ideas, technology, curriculum, research and more.

* The release party for Mikrokosmos, will be held at 5:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, May 3) at the Ulrich Museum. Join the Ulrich and the WSU Department of English in celebrating the release of the 62nd issue of Mikrokosmos, the literary journal of WSU's outstanding MFA program. Readings from a selection of authors and book signings begin at 6 p.m. and Mikrokosmos will be available for purchase.

* WSU, a member of the Wichita Holocaust Council, will host the Wichita Community Holocaust Commemoration at 7 p.m. today (Tuesday, May 3) in Lowe Auditorium, Hughes Metropolitan Complex.

* The final event of the Pre-Tenure Club this semester will feature David Perlmutter, dean of College of Media and Communication at Texas Tech University, at 11 a.m. Friday, May 6, in 313, RSC. Perlmutter will discuss "Overcoming the top 10 challenges on the tenure track." Refreshments will be provided. RSVP and send questions to Gery Markova at gergana.markova@wichita.edu.

* University faculty awards will be presented during the spring general faculty meeting Friday, May 6, in the multipurpose room at Hughes Metropolitan Complex, Door N. There will be a reception at 2:30 p.m. The faculty awards ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. The general faculty meeting will begin immediately following the awards ceremony. * If you are renting a locker in the Heskett Center, you must have it cleared out on or before Friday, May 13. When you clear out your locker, bring your lock to Guest Services. And if you want a locker renewal for summer, please go to Guest Services as well.
