New chefs join Dining Services

Dining Services has announced two new chefs on campus. David Cain will work in resident dining, and Larry Walker will work with the catering team.

Cain has a degree in culinary arts from Johnson & Wales University. He has university dining experience at both Northeastern State University and Oklahoma City University. He most recently was a culinary instructor at Francis Tuttle Technology Center.

He is excited to join the WSU team because of all the students, and wants to make their dining experience a great one. He says, "I know it can be challenging being away from home and being around unfamiliar things, so I feel that one thing that can bring some comfort to students is food."

Walker comes to WSU from DoubleTree by Hilton Wichita Airport, where he was the executive chef for 16 years. In a recent interview with the Wichita Eagle he said, "I got really excited about going to Wichita State. They're doing so much over there."
