Law Enforcement Training Center Partnership Briefing on Tuesday, May 24

Media are invited to a Law Enforcement Training Center (LETC) Partnership Briefing at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, in 142 Rhatigan Student Center, Wichita State University.

Police Chief Gordon Ramsay, Sheriff Jeff Easter and WSU President John Bardo will give brief remarks and answer questions about the proposed Law Enforcement Training Center facility to be built on Wichita State's Innovation Campus.

Mayor Jeff Longwell, County Commission Chair Jim Howell and development partner Nestor Weigand will discuss the next steps in the process.

Students and faculty from the university's pioneering criminal justice program will discuss the potential of having law enforcement training, education and research being housed in the same state-of-the-art facility, consistent with the university's strategic emphasis on applied learning and research.
