Peer Support Summit included WSU-trained certified peer support specialists

The first Peer Support Summit was held last month at the Hughes Metropolitan Complex and included dozens of WSU-trained certified peer support specialists from around the state, as well as their supervisors. People gathered from across the state to meet, learn and brainstorm about the current state of peer support in Kansas. Participants were represented from a majority of the community mental health centers in Kansas and several Consumer Run Organizations, and the peer support team from Osawatamie State Hospital.
