The Community Engagement Institute's Center for Public Health Initiatives coordinated the first Kansas Community Health Worker Symposium last month in Wichita. Thanks to funding support from the Kansas Health Foundation and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, 173 participants convened, representing public and private healthcare, local and state government, nonprofit organizations, and other sectors.
