Media are invited to Dental Day from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, June 3, in the Advanced Education of General Dentistry (AEGD) Clinic at Wichita State's Hughes Metropolitan Complex.

The AEGD program will host the 5th annual event, which will provide high school students across Kansas with an opportunity to receive hands-on education in the dental field.

The students will spend the day learning how to perform X-rays, take impressions and molds of their teeth, learn about radiology and practice scaling and drilling on teeth.

Also attending the event will be two pre-dental students from WSU and Fort Hays State University who were previous participants in Dental Day.

Dental Day is part of the Grow Your Own Dentist program in Kansas, an effort committed to educating young students on careers in the dental field.
