Reminders, deadlines and events
* The main campus roads will be closed or have limited access from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 18, to facilitate the 2016 American Heart Run/Walk.
* The University Bookstore is having a sale this week in honor of all the Shocker fathers in your life. WSU golf bag and golf accessories are 15 percent off, dad-specific merchandise is 20 percent off, men's professional wear is 20 percent off and a Shocker BBQ sauce set is $9.99. Sale is in store only.
* The first 1,500 fans who enter Lawrence Dumont Stadium for the Wichita Wingnuts baseball game on Saturday, June 18, will receive a Gregg Marshall bobblehead. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the first pitch is at 7:05 p.m. In addition, there's a special rate for faculty, staff and students with a WSU ID. You can get a a lower box seat for $10, normally $15 on the day of the game; and an upper box seat for $8, normally $12 on the day of the game.
* A grand opening for the new Food Truck Plaza is scheduled at 11 a.m. Monday, June 20, across the street from the National Institute for Aviation Research. WuShock will attend. INTRUST Bank will give away free Kona Ice (snow cones) at the opening of the WSU Food Truck Plaza in appreciation of students and staff for everything they do for our community. The plaza will be open from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/foodtruckplaza for up-to-date information. * Green Zone Training is available for faculty and staff members who would like to learn more about working with student veterans. Sessions are scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, and 2 p.m. Monday, July 11. If you are interested in signing up for this training, go to myTraining on myWSU to register. * WSU Foundation - Requisitions
In order for the WSU Foundation to meet your deadline of making the deposit to reimburse WSU accounts on Friday, June 24, requisitions are due at 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, so checks can be released on Thursday, June 23. Any check needs after June 23 for non-WSU accounts are due at 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, for the check run on Thursday, June 30. The WSU Foundation does not encumber funds, and we cannot write any checks for fiscal year 2016 after Thursday, June 30.

We want to be sure our donors are recognized in the proper gift clubs, so be sure to deliver all gift deposits for this fiscal year by noon Friday, July 1, for all checks dated Thursday, June 30, or prior.
