The Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program hosted the 5th Annual Dental Day on June 3, a one-day event for high school students considering a career in dentistry. The program provided students with hands-on experience taking impressions and molds of their teeth, learning about radiology and practicing scaling and drilling on teeth.

Students from all over Kansas attended the event, with half of the participants living outside of Wichita. WSU Admissions was present to answer questions about the pre-dental program, along with current students, their advisor, and faculty and residents. Also in attendance were two pre-dental students who were previous participants in Dental Day.

Dental Day is part of the Grow Your Own Dentist program in Kansas, a program committed to educating and encouraging young students to pursue a dentistry career in Kansas.
