CBIZ project update
July 1 -- Employees/supervisors will be notified of the changes to their individual position titles and pay grades. These titles will not restrict the use of current vanity titles. Employees will continue to have an opportunity to use these more informal titles.
Aug. 14 -- Changes to titles and pay grades will be memorialized in Banner. Employees who are interested in continuing to use an existing vanity title will need to inform Human Resources so that the directory information is accurate.
Sept. 15 -- Generalized position descriptions will be posted online. These are not the more specific job descriptions created for each individual job, but rather generic descriptions that can be used to create more specificity within a job description.
Sept. 30 -- Classification/compensation procedures will be finalized and the project will be complete.
There will be about 450 position titles in 13 job families. The final data indicated 35 out of 1,391 employees are being paid below the minimum of their new pay grade. The FY17 budget will include funds to bring these employees up to the minimum of their new pay grade.
