Reminders, deadlines and events

* Start the summer Kicking the Butt and begin a tobacco free life. Learn ways to help you be successful during your quit attempts and healthy ways to prepare for quitting, as well as gain support from other members who are in the process of quitting. Group meetings are 11 a.m.-noon every Monday starting today (June 20) in 320 Grace Wilkie Hall. If you are interested in joining the group, contact the Counseling and Testing Center at 978-3440.

* WSU students, faculty and staff are eligible for a free hearing screening in June and July. The clinic is located at the WSU Hughes Metropolitan Complex, Entrance T, at 29th and Oliver. Call 978-3289 to schedule an appointment.

* This summer, imagine sitting on the backyard patio of your new suburban ranch house or showing off your bell bottoms at the drive-in as you explore the history that made us who we are today. From the Cold War to Rock and Roll, from the Baby Boom to suburbia, we will take an in-depth look at the issues, personalities and trends that still shape our world. HIST 508: U.S. since 1945 will meet from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays from July 5-29. For more information, contact Jay Price at jay.price@wichita.edu, 978-7792 or 978-3150.
