Reminders, deadlines, events and Shocker Blast

* Beginning today (Monday, June 27) most Strategic Communications staff housed in 102 Morrison Hall will temporarily relocate to 223 Grace Wilkie Hall. Team members may experience periods of time when they are without access to phone and email throughout the week. Strategic Communications will be housed in Grace Wilkie Hall for about six-to-eight weeks before moving back to Morrison Hall.

* New and experienced Banner Schedule Builders and department chairs are invited to attend the upcoming Spring Schedule Building Training sessions presented by the University Registrar and Applications Training on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 12-13. Registration is required, sessions are posted on myWSU, myTraining. Contact Applications Training if you have questions at 978-5800 or training@wichita.edu.

* The notice required for all employment advertising has changed. Per policy 3.02, the following notice of nondiscrimination must be printed on all university publications, including catalogs, newsletters, magazines, brochures, folders, posters and flyers. * People of Faith for Peace (PfP) will host an educational panel discussion -- "Did World War I ever end? The 'War to end all Wars' has not concluded!" -- from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, in Sudermann Commons, Hughes Metropolitan Complex. The event is held in conjunction with the 97th anniversary of the Treaty of Versailles. Panel members are Wichita State history professors Jay Price, John Dreifort and Dee Starkey, Henry J. Allen Scholar.

* There are two upcoming biometric screening events on Thursday, July 7, and Friday, July 8, in 266 RSC. The deadline to sign up is three days prior to the date by midnight. If you have not yet registered, you still have time. Please make an appointment or walk in, if needed. Benefits-eligible employees and spouses who are enrolled in the state employee health plan or who have waived coverage in the plan are eligible. The biometric screening event is worth five credits. Remember, in order to qualify for the HealthQuest discount you must have 30 credits and complete the Health Assessment. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?4838 for details.
