* You're invited to a retirement celebration in honor of Frankie Kirkendoll and Shelly Kellogg from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, June 30, in Beggs Ballroom, RSC. Both women have served in Human Resources for more than 30 years. Kirkendoll was hired in Human Resources in October 1980, and she hired Kellogg in November 1985.

* The University Bookstore will be closed for inventory today (Wednesday, June 29) to Monday, July 4. The bookstore will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday, July 5. We apologize for any inconvenience.

* WSU's summer choir will present a summer concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 30, in Wiedemann Concert Hall. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?4839 for details.

* Welcomefest is a two-week series of events at the beginning of each semester that includes entertainers, crafts and other programming to welcome students back to campus. Welcomefest will take place from Saturday, Aug. 20-Saturday, Sept. 3 with events sponsored by student groups and campus departments. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?4835 to register events and be included in Welcomefest publications. Submissions are due by 5 p.m. Friday, July 15.
