Reminders, deadlines and events
* People of Faith for Peace (PfP) will host an educational panel discussion -- "Did World War I ever end? The 'War to end all Wars' has not concluded!" -- from 7-9 p.m. today (Tuesday, June 28) in Sudermann Commons, Hughes Metropolitan Complex. The event is held in conjunction with the 97th anniversary of the Treaty of Versailles. Panel members are Wichita State history professors Jay Price, John Dreifort and Dee Starkey, Henry J. Allen Scholar.
* WSU Foundation - Requisitions
Any check needs for non-WSU accounts are due at 5 p.m. today (Tuesday, June 28) for the check run on Thursday, June 30. The WSU Foundation does not encumber funds, and we cannot write any checks for fiscal year 2016 after Thursday, June 30.
* WSU Foundation - Deposits
We want to be sure our donors are recognized in the proper gift clubs, so be sure to deliver all gift deposits for this fiscal year by noon Friday, July 1, for all checks dated Thursday, June 30, or prior.
* The University Bookstore will be closed for inventory Wednesday, June 29-Monday, July 4. The bookstore will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday, July 5. We apologize for any inconvenience.
* The Body Project aims to help young women feel better about their bodies by learning how to resist pressures to conform to the thin ideal. The Body Project has been found to improve body satisfaction, reduce risk for eating disorders and improve school and social functioning for hundreds of young women. If you are interested in joining us for this two-day workshop from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, July 8, and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, July 15, or you have questions regarding the project, send an email to andy.sykes@wichita.edu.
