Vanessa Buehne with the Department of Campus Recreation was a lifeguard for the 2016 swimming Olympic trails in Omaha, Nebraska, June 25-July 3. She served during all the competitions that featured the fastest swimmers in the United States, and watched them make their way onto the Olympic team.
