Shocker Freshman Council (SFC) is a program within Student Government Association (SGA) implemented by Student Body President Joseph Shepard to engage freshman students to be part of important conversations, diversify the senate and to provide freshman students with a meaningful opportunity for involvement within SGA. The mission of SFC is to increase SGA's visibility and importance among the freshman population on campus, and to support Wichita State's mission to be an essential, educational, cultural and economic driver for Kansas and the greater public good. Wichita State SFC members will receive a mentor, serve on a committee, attend at least one senate meeting per month as an observer and participate in activities which will benefit WSU.
