Ulrich Museum stays ahead of the curve

In 2014, the Ulrich Museum of Art opened the exhibition, "Bruce Conner: Someone Else's Prints." Last week, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City opened a comprehensive retrospective exhibition of Conner's work titled "Bruce Conner: It's All True." Some of the works that were shown at the Ulrich can currently be seen at MoMA. The Ulrich strives to consistently deliver exhibitions that are timely, relevant and ahead of modern and contemporary art trends.

Conner was a multidisciplinary artist and the MoMA exhibition celebrates Conner's work in film, painting, assemblage, drawing, print, photography, photograms and performance art. "Bruce Conner: It's All True" was organized by the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMoMA) and will be on view at SFMoMA this fall, after the current exhibition at MoMA ends.

The Ulrich exhibition in 2014 was primarily an examination of Conner's achievements as a printmaker. "Someone Else's Prints" was the most extensive exhibition of Conner's work in printmaking in over a decade and traveled to the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art after leaving the Ulrich.
