David A. Nichols will discuss his book "A Matter of Justice: Eisenhower and the Beginning of the Civil Rights Revolution" from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, March 22, in Ablah Library outside special collections. Admission is free. A reception and book signing will follow the lecture. Nichols argues that President Dwight D. Eisenhower did more than any other white politician in the 1950s to advance the civil rights agenda. "A Matter of Justice" was listed as a 2008 Kansas Notable Book and has recently been issued in paperback.
