Power outage to affect Duerksen Fine Arts Center

Please be advised that on Wednesday and Thursday, March 18-19, there will be a couple of extended power outages affecting Duerksen Fine Arts Center in order to finalize and make permanent some of the electrical distribution improvements made for the building over the past few weeks and months. Building occupants are advised to take appropriate storage precautions with computer files and sensitive equipment prior to both of these outages.

On Wednesday, March 18, Westar power crews will shut down the building power for some of this work from 2:30 p.m. until about 5 p.m.

On Thursday, March 19, Westar crews will again shut down power service for more work from 9 a.m. until about 3 p.m.

Power service to Wiedemann Hall is not expected to be affected by this work at Duerksen Fine Arts Center.
