An exciting collaboration between the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita and WSU's College of Health Professions will help develop new models of health professions education. The local institutions have joined a nationwide student-led organization, CLARION (Clinician/Administrator Relationship Improvement Organization), to develop new models of health professions education that highlight inter-professional collaboration. Case-study competitions help students gain a 360-degree perspective on patient health and safety, with a focus on how care might be improved. A Wichita student team will do a practice presentation at WSU's Marcus Welcome Center from 3:30-5 p.m. Monday, March 23. The team will carry their case to the national competition in Minneapolis on April 4.
