* The Office of Research will hold a workshop for faculty, staff and students conducting research that involves animals and/or people from 1-2:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, in 405 Jardine Hall. "Compliance: Animals & People, Oh My!" is an overview of Institutional Review Board and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee regulations, processes and guidelines. * To help students with registration, fee payment and financial aid questions this week and the week of Aug. 22, the Office of the Registrar, Office of Financial Aid and Accounts Receivable will have extended hours from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Assistance is also available for students through WSU OneStop in 122 Jabara Hall Mondays through Thursdays from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. or at 1-855-WSU1STP.

* Mark your calendars to attend the premiere of the Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) plan from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, in 262 RSC. The WSU community is invited to learn more about how everyone can be involved in the planned strategies and activities that contribute to improving student experiences and success. * The Instructional Design and Technology (IDT) team has created a simple template for instructors to use in their Blackboard classes. This template will be useful for anyone teaching fully online, hybrid or flipped courses, as well as face-to-face professors who use Blackboard. * New parking signs say that an ePermit is required, although current hangtags are good through August. Purchase virtual parking permits (ePermits) for the 2016-17 academic year. A single ePermit can be used for up to five vehicles, including motorcycles and rental cars, as needed, provided only one of the vehicles is on campus at a time.
