Research assistants needed for study on Spanish speakers in Kansas
Responsibilities: Transcribe interviews in both Spanish and English, and gather information on Spanish speakers, heritage language education and bilingual services in Kansas. Research assistants may also have the opportunity to conduct interviews.
Required qualifications: Must have excellent oral comprehension, spelling and typing skills in Spanish and English and familiarity with Mexican Spanish, and must be available to work 10 hours per week on campus during the fall 2016 semester.
Preferred qualifications: Awareness of the experiences of Spanish-speaking Mexican Americans in the U.S., demonstrated interest in education and/or linguistics, completion of at least one 500-800 level Spanish course at WSU and research experience.
