* The Cultural Ambassador Program (CAP) series, "Travel the World with CAP," starts from noon-1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Aug. 24) in 142 RSC. Come join us this week as we learn about Paraguay from Sonia Bogado. Bring your lunch and travel the world without ever leaving WSU.

* Join us as we celebrate the start of the semester. Learn how to surf and play steel drums, or just spend time with your friends at the Student Activities Council (SAC) Beach Party from 7-10 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Aug. 25) on the RSC east patio.

* The Evolving Leaders Program is designed for returning students to WSU who are looking to expand on their leadership skills and abilities. * Attention students: Want to improve your English? Come participate in "Eyes to See and Ears to Hear," a fun, interactive conversational English course. Enjoy a weekly video presentation based on the life of Jesus. All faiths and religious backgrounds are welcome. A free preview information session will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, at the Lutheran Student Center, 3815 E. 17th St. The Mission, a Registered Student Organization, is co-sponsoring the course. * Professor Rachel Showstack seeks to hire one or two undergraduate or graduate students this fall to assist with her research on Spanish language maintenance and linguistic ideologies in Kansas. * New campus parking signs say that an ePermit is required. Commuter students may park in either green or green/yellow designated lots. Shocker Hall students may park in the orange designated lot, and Fairmount Towers students in the brown lot located at Fairmount Towers. WSU students may purchase virtual parking permits (ePermits) for the 2016-17 academic year. A single ePermit can be used for up to five vehicles, including motorcycles and rental cars, as needed, provided only one of the vehicles is on campus at a time.
