* The University Methodist Church lot by 21st and Yale will be closed tomorrow (Thursday, Sept. 1).

* Come to the bookstore's Patio Sale from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Aug. 31) and Thursday, Sept. 1 on the RSC east patio. The University Bookstore will be set up with great deals for all students, faculty, staff and Shocker fans.

* Join the Counseling and Testing Center again this semester for Keep Calm & Breathe On. Drop in to build structured relaxation time in to your life and learn techniques to do relaxation on your own. You will be led in meditation, mindfulness and relaxation practices. The meetings are every Wednesday from 12:15-12:45 p.m. starting today (Aug. 31) in 257 RSC. Drop in or contact the Counseling and Testing Center for more information at 978-3440.

* The Cultural Ambassador Program (CAP) series "Travel the World with CAP" continues from noon-1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Aug. 31) in 142 RSC. Join us as we learn about Armenia from Tadeh Avanessian. * The Fall 2016 Chemistry Department Colloquium begins today (Wednesday, Aug. 31). All talks will begin at 3:30 p.m. in 224 McKinley Hall, unless otherwise noted. The first presentation is "Arylimidamide-Azole Combinations: A New Strategy for Drug Development Against a Neglected Disease," by professor Karl Werbovetz, College of Pharmacy, Ohio State University. * Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace is a new interactive training that includes activities and discussion focused on recognizing microaggressions, understanding social identity and the matrix of oppression, learning how to get past stereotypes and prejudices, understanding the definition of racism and learning ways to address issues and give feedback. The Offices of Diversity and Inclusion and Human Resources will present this new training course from 2-4 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Sept. 1). Registration is available through myTraining.

* Two community education classes -- "Grammar, Punctuation and Proofreading Tips," and "Editing, Revising and Polishing Business Communication," are being offered this fall at Hughes Metropolitan Complex. The cost is $84 per class. The instructor for both classes will be Shannon Littlejohn, editor/writer and owner of Shannon Littlejohn Communications.
