* David A. Nichols will discuss his book "A Matter of Justice: Eisenhower and the Beginning of the Civil Rights Revolution" from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, March 22, in Ablah Library outside special collections. * The WSU baseball team will host Long Beach State in a weekend series at Eck Stadium. Games are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. today (Friday, March 20); 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21; and 1 p.m. Sunday, March 22.

* Venice Is Sinking from Athens, Ga., is the spotlight act on "Strange Currency" from 8-10 p.m. Saturday, March 21, on KMUW 89.1, or at 2 a.m., 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. on KMUW's HD2.

* The McNair Scholars Program is accepting applications through April 17 for program participation in the 2009-2010 academic year.
