Reminders, deadlines, events and Shocker Blast

* WSU offices will be closed and classes will not be held Monday, Sept. 5, in observance of Labor Day. Normal schedules will resume Tuesday, Sept. 6.

* The RSC and some of its departments will have altered hours for Labor Day weekend. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/rschours for all RSC building and department hours.

* Banner Purchase Requisitions for requestors training, Sections 1 and 2, will be held from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 13-14. WSU purchasing procedures are reviewed as attendees learn to navigate the Banner forms. Both sections are required for WSU staff responsible for entering requisitions into Banner. Current requestors are welcome to attend one or both sessions as a refresher. Registration is required and sessions are posted on myTraining. * Registration is now open for the Majors & Minors Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 11. Increase enrollment in your college and assist exploring and undecided students in finding their dream program or complementary minor at Wichita State. Sign up today and make sure your degree program is represented. Register at http://www.wichita.edu/MMRegistration by Monday, Oct. 3. Please communicate within your department to determine who will be responsible for each program's table and ensure no duplicate registrations. * WSU will hold a free flu clinic on Tuesday, Oct. 18, in 266 RSC, as part of the state sponsored flu clinics running from September through Oct. 31. Remember, free flu shot clinics are available to members and spouses enrolled in the State Employee Health Plan (SEHP) ages 18-65. Flu shots are also covered by the health plan. * WSU is partnering with area food trucks to feature a rotation of vendors weekdays at the Food Truck Plaza, located across the street from the National Institute for Aviation Research.
