Join Angie Zeorlin, WSU's assistant director for scholarships, during her annual Searching for Scholarships Workshop from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at Hughes Metropolitan Complex. The presentation will identify when students and/or families should begin searching and applying for available scholarships, different types of criteria for scholarships, how to develop an impressive application for scholarships, WSU's invitational, general and departmental scholarships, how to search the web and how to avoid scholarship scams. The session will also cover federal financial aid and other solutions that can make college more affordable. Much of the information is intended for new or prospective college students.
