* Information Technology Services invites the campus community to a retirement reception for Dave Wasinger, who is retiring from WSU after 36 years of service. Help us celebrate Wasinger's transition into the next phase of his life from 2-4 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 7) in 233 RSC. There will be brief remarks at 2:30 p.m. with plenty of time to visit and share stories.

* Plan to attend the campus-wide event, "Who Are We and Where Are We Going," from 1-6 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 7) in the RSC Beggs Ballroom. This is our first interactive strategic plan review and update. If you cannot attend the entire afternoon, please stop by and listen to a few presentations and take part in the conversation.

* Join the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and WSU Community Psychology Association to learn the steps it takes to build a civically engaged culture. The Brown Bag Diversity Discussion, "Vote: Steps to Building a Civic Culture," will be held from noon-1:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 7) in 266 RSC.

* This is Suicide Prevention and Awareness Week. There will be a Mini Wellness Fair from 11 a.m-1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 7) on the RSC north patio, featuring Campus Recreation, Counseling and Testing and Student Health Services. Thursday, Sept. 8, is WSUWeSupportU Day; wear your WSUWeSupportU shirt and take part in the Counseling and Testing Center's group photo on the RSC north lawn at 12:15 p.m. to show your support for suicide prevention. * The Fall 2016 Chemistry Department Colloquium continues at 3:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 7) in 224 McKinley Hall. Today's presentation is "Integrated Paramagnetic Resonance and the Electronic Dynamics of High-Spin Co(II)," by professor David Tierney of Miami University. * Faculty and staff, please encourage your students to attend "Major in Success" by national speaker Patrick Combs. His talk will teach students how to improve their outlook after college.
