Students participate in 'Bridges of Sentimentality' public art project

The Offices of Diversity and Inclusion and First Year Programs collaborated to develop the program "Passage to Success." The program allowed a small group of freshman to participate in a service learning project. With help from the Hugo Wall School of Public Affairs Community Liaison's Office, about 35 WSU students participated in a public art project called "Bridges of Sentimentality," near Fairmount Park at 16th St. and Vassar. The fences used in the project are on both university property and private property. Each student who participated in the lettering of "Bridges of Sentimentality" pledged to adopt a letter, and maintain or replace his or her letter during the year, in order to be continually engaged.
