Register for Safe Zone LGBTQ Training

The Offices of Diversity and Inclusion, Human Resources and Counseling and Testing invite you to Safe Zone LGBTQ Training from 2:30-5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, in 261 RSC. Registration is required. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/safezone to register.

This training is a dynamic, interactive session that includes activities and discussion around:
- Inclusive language
- The process of coming out
- The power of the straight ally
- Understanding sexual identity
- How to respond to homophobic incidents
- Resources and much more

The goal of Safe Zone LGBTQ Training is to educate as well as create and sustain a welcoming and inclusive environment for the LGBTQ campus community. This training establishes an identifiable network of supportive people who can provide support, information and a safe place for LGBTQ persons within the Wichita State community.

By attending this training, individuals are committed to being a Safe Zone Ally in which bigotry and discrimination, specifically regarding LGBTQ persons, are not tolerated.
