Reminders, deadlines and events

* Student Government Association is accepting applications for a number of positions. Applications can be accessed through http://www.wichita.edu/SGAopenpositions and are to be submitted to the SGA office in 219 RSC by 5 p.m. today (Friday, Sept. 2).

* Spend your night with Student Activities Council (SAC) watching a movie with some delicious buttery popcorn and drinks. "Now You See Me" and "Now You See Me 2" will be the double feature starting at 7 p.m. today (Friday, Sept. 2) in the CAC Theater. The second movie will start at about 9:15 p.m. Both movies are rated PG-13. This event is free for all WSU students with WSU ID.

* Want to gain experience working with companies while you're still in school? Do you enjoy surrounding yourself with hard working, like-minded people? If so, Barton International Group (BIG) is for you. BIG is a student-run business consulting group that helps companies in Wichita and the surrounding area develop market strategies. * The Rhatigan Student Center and some of its departments will have altered hours for Labor Day weekend. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/rschours for all RSC building and department hours.

* Interested in helping with Shocktoberfest in a new way? Students have the opportunity to work with other campus departments and student groups while planning a week full of spirit and fun that ultimately ends in Songfest. * New for the fall semester, WSU students now have access to a variety of health services through a 24-hour patient web portal. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?4982 for more information.

* Contribute to Shocker Nation and apply to be a Student Conduct Hearing Board member. These students have the unique opportunity to uphold university policies while promoting peer accountability and education.
