* The Offices of Diversity and Inclusion, Human Resources and Counseling and Testing invite you to Safe Zone LGBTQ Training from 2:30-5 p.m. today (Tuesday, Sept. 6) in 261 RSC. The goal of Safe Zone LGBTQ Training is to educate as well as create and sustain a welcoming and inclusive environment for the LGBTQ campus community. Registration is required. * WSU's new Center for Excellence in Oral Communication opens today (Tuesday, Sept. 6) in 221 Elliott Hall. Somewhat comparable to a writing lab, the new center will focus on assisting students (faculty and staff are also welcome) with reducing the fear of public speaking and with their oral presentations. * Crissa Cook, adjunct professor of patent law and patent practice for Hovey Williams LLP, will lead workshops discussing Intellectual Property (IP) agreements and IP portfolio management and evaluation at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, on the second floor, Devlin Hall. Cook specializes in patent preparation, prosecution and licensing, and assists clients in analyzing IP agreements.
* Banner Purchase Requisitions for requestors training, Sections 1 and 2, will be held from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 13-14. WSU purchasing procedures are reviewed as attendees learn to navigate the Banner forms. Both sections are required for WSU staff responsible for entering requisitions into Banner. Current requestors are welcome to attend one or both sessions as a refresher. Registration is required and sessions are posted on myTraining.
