* There is a biometric screening event today (Friday, Sept. 16) in 265 RSC. Walk-ins are accepted, depending upon availability. All health benefits-eligible employees and their spouses can attend. Biometric screening events are worth five credits. In order to qualify for the HealthQuest discount in 2017 you must have 30 credits and complete the Health Assessment. * "Jokes that kill: The use of sardonic humor leading up to the French wars of religion" will be presented by University of Kansas professor Bruce Hayes, Department of French and Italian, from noon-2 p.m. today (Friday, Sept. 16) in Ablah Library.

* Shocker Startup is bringing a Wichitalks event to campus. Join us for an evening of fun, networking and free food at 7 p.m. today (Friday, Sept. 16) in the Shirley Beggs Ballroom, third floor, RSC. * C.L. Lindsay, author of the book "College Student's Guide to the Law," is coming to Wichita State to present "Internet Privacy." The event will be held at 7 p.m. today (Friday, Sept. 16) in the CAC Theater. Admission is free. It will be a great educational experience for all college students.

* You don't have to be an engineer to participate with Engineers Without Borders (EWB) at WSU. Our passion and purpose are to benefit the lives of the most deprived communities in the world, working with them to create sustainable solutions to meet their basic human needs. We are seeking help and mentorship from faculty with fundraising, event-planning, marketing and campaigning.
