* You don't have to be an engineer to join Engineers Without Borders (EWB) USA Wichita State University Chapter. Join us to learn how you can contribute to our upcoming projects in Uganda through EWB from 6-7 p.m. today (Friday, Sept. 9) on the second floor, Devlin Hall. * Business students are invited to join Dean Desai for a chance to hear about the future of the Barton School and ask any questions you might have. The informal and interactive town hall-style meeting will be held from 2-3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, in 204 Clinton Hall. No advance registration is necessary, simply show up and take part. * Want to know how to make college easier, fire up your dreams and get a great job? Attend national speaker Patrick Combs' presentation, "Major in Success," from 1:30-2:45 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, in the CAC Theater, and you'll be on your way to doing just that. * Improve your English at "Eyes to See and Ears to Hear," a fun, interactive conversational English course. Practice your listening, speaking, writing and pronunciation. Enjoy a weekly video presentation based on the life of Jesus. All faiths and religious backgrounds are welcome. Classes will meet from 7-9 p.m. every Monday starting Sept.19-Dec. 5. Cost for tuition and materials is $68. Scholarships are available. The Mission, a Registered Student Organization, is co-sponsoring the course. * President John Bardo continues his student outreach program to facilitate conversations about innovation, growth and collaboration. Adult and military students are invited to a forum at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19, in 266 RSC. This is an open meeting to hear student feedback on current and upcoming campus initiatives as well as receive student feedback on resource needs.
