Join LaVona Spencer's family for a joyous and memorable celebration of life service at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, in Grace Memorial Chapel. Over the course of her 82 years, Spencer uplifted and affirmed hundreds of friends, colleagues and students. As an academic advisor for University College and the LAS Advising Center, she specialized in academic and career exploration for 32 years. Her talents and service were recognized with awards from Omicron Delta Kappa, Mortar Board, WSU Alumni Association, American College Testing/National Academic Advising Association, Wichita State University and the National Conference of Christians and Jews, Kansas region.
