2015-16 Office of Admissions Annual Report

The Office of Admissions has created and issued an annual report outlining some of the team's activities for the year.

Here are the highlights of the recruitment season.

- As of the first week of school for fall 2016, a 14 percent increase in enrolled new domestic freshmen and a two percent increase in new transfer students. This includes a 13.6 percent increase in new race/ethnic minority students.

- A record-setting count of new high-achieving Shockers including eight National Merit, three National Hispanic and one National Achievement Scholars enrolling for fall 2016

- Being named the #1 transfer destination in Kansas for the third year in a row

- A 40 percent increase in new out-of-state students

- Hosting more than 12,500 prospective students and guests through events and campus visits

- Enrollment of more Wichita East High International Baccalaureate 2016 graduates than all other Kansas institutions combined, for the second year in a row

- Sending more than 1.75 million emails to prospective students and their families
