The 2016 Michael Tilford Conference on Diversity and Multiculturalism will be held Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 24-25, at Pittsburg State University. Named after WSU's own Michael Tilford, the conference provides an opportunity for faculty, staff and administrators of Kansas Board of Regents institutions across the state to share ideas and resources for building culturally competent campus communities. The theme of this year's conference is "Cultivating Success: Why Belonging Matters." WSU's Marche Fleming-Randle, senior assistant dean and assistant to the President for Diversity, will be Monday evening's featured speaker. Registration is free.
