Due to an outage on a WSU email server, WSU's Blackboard instance has lost much of its ability to communicate via email with faculty, staff and some students.

- Student emails on the new server (shocker.wichita.edu) were mostly not affected, although there may be some exceptions.

- Faculty and staff emails on blackboard ARE affected (Blackboard cannot email faculty and staff).

- No activity within Blackboard is impacted except for Blackboard's ability to send emails. Assignments, exams, discussions, and all activity within courses are still working normally.

ITS has corrected the issue and emails are being restored -- however, the process to replace those emails may not be complete until the end of the business day.
