* The Hypershocks intend to participate in the SpaceX organized Hyperloop Pod Design Competition for the second consecutive year and are recruiting. * Engineers Without Borders' (EWB) purpose is to benefit the lives of the most deprived communities in the world, working with them to create sustainable solutions to meet their basic human needs. Join us to learn how you can contribute to our upcoming projects in Uganda through EWB from 6-7 p.m. today (Friday, Sept. 23) on the second floor, Devlin Hall. You don't have to be an engineer to have an impact.

* Students who will be applying to graduate school and need to take the GRE test are invited to attend a free GRE Prep Workshop from 9 a.m.-noon tomorrow (Saturday, Sept. 24). The event is free and open to everyone, but pre-registration is required at http://www.registerblast.com/wsu. The location of the workshop will be on the registration receipt. * Want to volunteer? We have the perfect opportunity. Cheer on participants in the annual 5K Pumpkin Run, help at the fruit and water stations and just have fun. Juice and donuts will be provided. * The Counseling and Testing Center is offering their most popular "Words for Wellness" sessions online. * The International Student Union is calling for chefs and volunteers for Fall InterFest 2016, the international food festival from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, in the Neff Hall court yard. * Assistant Professor Rachel Showstack is looking for Spanish-speaking students of Mexican family background to participate in a research study about the maintenance of the Spanish language in Kansas.
