It's time to have free fun for the whole family in downtown Wichita. The Old Town Association, along with new Old Town resident KMUW, is celebrating the cooler weather with the second annual free concert series. It kicked off in Old Town Square on Sept. 24 and continues for the next two Saturdays. Kill Vargas will open for the eclectic punk, bluegrass and dixieland sounds of Carrie Nation and the Speakeasy at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, and Miss Tess and the Talkbacks will be joined by the dust bowl rock 'n roll of the Tom Page Trio at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at the corner of 2nd Street and Mead. Come to Old Town to celebrate the cooler weather and enjoy all that Old Town has to offer. Following each show, there will be an after party at Barleycorns.
