Notification from Sedgwick County Health Department

The Sedgwick County Health Department has notified Student Health Services that a student on campus has been diagnosed with tuberculosis. The student is receiving appropriate treatment and measures have been implemented to limit the risk for the WSU community. The risk for TB contagion is minimal in a classroom or public setting. The only way to get tuberculosis is by close contact for an extended time with someone who is infectious.
