* The President's Diversity Council at WSU has planned the first diversity showcase, DiverseCity, from today (Monday, Oct. 3) to Friday, Oct. 7. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?5077 and check out next week's calendar of events.

* You are cordially invited to a Paralympic Celebration and Tree Dedication honoring 2016 Paralympic medalists Nick Taylor and Deja Young, along with Paralympic athlete Liz Willis. The Olympic oak for boxing medalist Nico Hernandez will also be dedicated. The celebration starts at 5 p.m. today (Monday, Oct. 3) in the Koch Arena atrium followed by a 5:30 p.m. tree dedication.

* International Student Union invites all students, faculty and staff to Fall 2016 InterFest, the international food festival organized by WSU's International Student Union from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, Oct. 4) in the Neff Hall courtyard.

* WSU will host a free screening of alumnus Dean Hargrove's acclaimed 2015 documentary, "Tap World," at 7 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, Oct. 4) in the CAC Theater. Hargrove is a 1996 WSU President's Medal recipient and producer of hundreds of television programs around the world.

* The new Shocker eSports Recognized Student Organization (RSO) is looking for more players to join to create teams for games like Counter Strike, Global Offensive, Dota2, League of Legends, Hearthstone and Overwatch. Interested students should email contact@wichitaesports.com. You are also welcome to attend Shocker eSports weekly meetings to meet others who are interested in joining. Upcoming meetings are at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4 and 11, in 207 RSC.

* To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA) is a nonprofit movement whose mission is to present hope and find help for people who are struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA also exists to encourage, inform, inspire and invest directly into treatment and recovery.
