Reminders, deadlines and events

* International Student Union invites all students, faculty and staff to Fall 2016 InterFest, the international food festival organized by WSU's International Student Union from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. today (Tuesday, Oct. 4) in the Neff Hall courtyard.

* Come with your questions and get assistance completing an IP disclosure form for your ideas, technology, curriculum, research and more from 2-4 p.m. today (Tuesday, Oct. 5) in the Innovation Hub in 215 Devlin Hall. This is an open lab and no registration is required.

* WSU will host a free screening of alumnus Dean Hargrove's acclaimed 2015 documentary, "Tap World," at 7 p.m. today (Tuesday, Oct. 4) in the CAC Theater. Hargrove is a 1996 WSU President's Medal recipient and producer of hundreds of television programs around the world.

* The President's Diversity Council at WSU has planned the first diversity showcase, DiverseCity, now to Friday, Oct. 7. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?5077 and check out this week's calendar of events.

* Shocker faculty and staff are invited out After Work with Young Professionals of Wichita (YPW) at 5:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, Oct. 4) in the Ulrich Museum. Meet other young professionals and learn more about YPW and the innovative ways you can connect to the community professionally and socially. Beverages and light hors d'oeuvres will be served.

* All untenured faculty are invited to join the next Pre-Tenure Club meeting at 11 a.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, Oct. 5) in 300 Clinton Hall. We will discuss the tenure process and early career strategies. Questions and RSVP to Gery Markova at gergana.markova@wichita.edu.

* The Office or Research will hold a Research Compliance Workshop at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, Oct. 5) in 409E Jardine Hall. * The Office of Academic Affairs, in collaboration with Student Involvement, is seeking applications from teaching faculty to serve as service-learning scholars for the 2016-17 academic year. The application deadline has been extended to Friday, Oct. 14. The Service-Learning Faculty Scholars program has been designed to empower committed service-learning faculty to cultivate and support interest in service learning in their fellow faculty members and through their classes and college.
